Following a number of enquiries from our valued interstate customers, particularly in NSW, we have contacted Australia Post regarding substantial delays being experienced. We received the following statement from Australia Post:
"The extended lockdowns are impacting some of our delivery operations. Air freight capacity remains limited and our delivery network is affected by very high parcel volumes caused by increased online shopping activity. Our Sydney and Melbourne processing facilities are heavily affected by strict government health and safety requirements designed to protect our people and the community. The impacts of Covid-19 can mean that on any given day we may have hundreds of staff members out of our workforce while they follow necessary testing and isolation orders until they are given clearance to return to work. What does this mean for your delivery? It may take longer than usual to deliver your item and we apologise for any delays experienced. We appreciate your patience.... the best way to track your deliveries is through our mobile app. You can also track and set up tracking notifications for your parcels using our online tracking tool. We know these are challenging times and thank you for your patience while we work through the unprecedented volumes in our network and our contact centre. Stay safe, From all of us."
