Caterpillar's origin story started on the day the wheels came off, Thanksgiving Day 1904.
That's when Benjamin Holt invented the first commercially successful track-type tractor.

During a field test in 1905, the company photographer exclaimed "If that don’t look like a monster caterpillar!"  - which led to the iconic name "Caterpillar" that we know today.

Appreciation for the CAT® brand extends far beyond those who use our machines on the worksite.

There is now an extensive range of Caterpillar merchandise. Caterpillar workwear and Caterpillar clothing for casual wear is just the start. There are Cat® hats, boots, shoes, bags and models.

They’re not leaving out the family either. With Caterpillar women’s clothing and Caterpillar children’s clothing they’ve got everyone covered.

Get kitted out today in Caterpillar clothing that has all the toughness of the machinery that’s inspired it.
