There Is Wool in Some of This Denim

The wool denim jeans are the ones worth knowing about, because there are not many of them made anywhere. Thomas Cook blends about a tenth of wool into a 12oz cotton-polyester denim with a touch of elastane, and finishes it in a dark wash with contrast top stitching.

Wool in a jean does a specific thing: it takes the chill off the fabric, so the pair does not feel cold against your leg on a July morning the way plain denim does. They carry the same comfort waist and double stitching as the rest, and the coloured versions come in both men's and women's cuts.

Men's Jeans in Moleskin and Denim

The men's half is the bigger one, at about thirty-four pairs. Stretch moleskin runs through most of it in sand, navy, black, stone, greystone, whiskey, blue steel and rich brown, with a tailored moleskin cut for anyone who wants a cleaner leg and a slim moleskin below that.

Women's Jeans and the Wonder Fit

The women's jeans are built around the Wonder fit, which appears across most of the range in mid-rise regular shapes with either a slim or a bootleg finish. Stretch moleskin comes in sand, navy, black and stone, in both a 32 and a 34 leg so the hem lands where it should without alteration.

Coloured wool denim covers the brighter end, and there are capri and slimmer-leg styles for warmer weather, with avoca, peninsula and bass washes among the lighter denims. Children's stretch moleskin jeans run in stone, sand, navy and greystone, so the smaller members of the crew are in the same fabric as everyone else rather than something that gives out by the second season.
