Two Drill Weights and a Half Placket
The drill work shirts are the backbone of this range and they come in two cotton weights. The light drill is 150gsm for warm months, the heavy drill 200gsm for everything else, and both are tested and rated for UPF sun protection rather than just claimed to be.
The detail that marks them out is the half placket, which Thomas Cook uses for safety reasons: fewer buttons down the front and a collar that buttons down out of sight, so there is less to snag on. They also carry countryman pockets with a pen holder and logo buttons, which is the sort of thing you only notice when a shirt does not have it.

Heavy drill is the biggest single line here, running to seventeen colourways, with light drill close behind in eleven. Both come in half-button and full-button fronts, and there is a women's stretch drill half-button and a women's contrast light drill with panelling through the yoke.
Children's heavy drill runs the same shirt in smaller sizes, which is the sensible option for a kid who is going to treat it exactly as hard as an adult would. Thomas Cook women's shirts run to a similar depth, in tailored long sleeves, blouses and short-sleeve styles, with a few sleeveless cuts. Navy dominates the whole range by a long way, then white, blue, tan, green, pink and sage, with brighter reds, teals and corals through the women's side.
