What Peached Moleskin Actually Feels Like
Moleskin is a dense cotton woven so tightly that the surface takes on a soft nap, and Thomas Cook peaches theirs to bring that nap up further. The result feels closer to suede than to canvas, and it holds a crease properly, which is why moleskin gets worn to things denim would be too casual for.
The stretch version is about 97 per cent cotton with three per cent elastane, at 11oz, so it gives at the knee and the seat without going baggy. Most pairs run the brand's elastic comfort waist, double stitching through the stress points, rust-proof hardware and a YKK zip.
