What can I wear with my Bedorie Western Hat?
Casual day around the farm or markets
Pair the Bedorie with jeans or denim shorts and a simple tee or country shirt. Add boots and a leather belt and you’re set for feed runs or a relaxed day out.
Country concert or muster
Team it with a denim skirt or dress for a tidy western vibe. The ivory colour really pops in photos and adds a clean finish to patterned outfits.
Hot-weather outback trips
The shantung-paper weave keeps things breathable. Match it with loose cotton shirts and lightweight linen pants or shorts so you stay cool.
Smart-casual nights out
A crisp button-up, dark jeans and the Bedorie give you a tidy dressed-up western look. Add a jacket for cooler evenings.
FAQs
What size Bedorie should I get?
To establish your size as per your head measurement, measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2") above your ears. Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, and keep it across your temple and above your eyebrow ridges. For in-between measurements, select the next size up. For example, if your head measurement is 58.2cm, you would choose a size 59 hat. You want a close fit, but not so firm that the band leaves a mark on your forehead when you have worn your hat for a period of time. If you're trying your hat on instore, and you have a choice of a size that is a bit too firm, but the next size is a bit too loose, we recommend selecting the larger size, and popping some hat fillers behind the inner band to create the perfect fit.
If you order your hat online and you find it is too firm fitting, do not expect it to 'loosen up'. It will not. Contact our friendly mailroom staff for assistance.
Is the shantung-paper material durable?
It’s tougher than natural straw and holds shape well. Ideal for Aussie heat and regular wear.
How do I clean and store the hat?
Brush off dust, and use a damp (not wet) cloth for marks. Store it upside down on the crown or on a stand so the brim shape is maintained.
Is it suitable for rain?
Light drizzle is fine, but avoid proper rain. A Shantung-paper hat can warp if it gets soaked. Keep it away from direct heat and sunshine while drying.
