Whips

Professional Grade Stock Whips and Bullwhips for the Work Station

Mastering the art of stock handling requires tools that provide precision, balance, and a clear, consistent signal. We know how important quality whips are to help you manage livestock across vast distances. At Allingtons, we carry a premier selection of Australian-made stock whips and bullwhips, specifically chosen for their ability to perform in harsh outback conditions while maintaining the integrity of traditional plaiting techniques.

Handcrafted Kangaroo and Redhide Stock Whips

The stock whips in our collection are the gold standard for Australian ringers and drovers. Unlike other designs, a stock whip features a separate handle and thong, allowing for the maximum leverage and accuracy needed during a long day in the saddle.

We stock professional options from Nemeth Whips, ranging from durable 4-plait and 6-plait redhide for daily station work to the exceptional 12-plait Kangaroo hide models for superior flexibility and weight. These whips are engineered to develop a soft, responsive feel over time, ensuring that each flick provides the exact crack required for effective stock management.

Heavy-Duty Bullwhips and Specialised Training Tools

For those who prefer a more integrated design, our selection of bullwhips offers a weighted, continuous construction from handle to cracker. These tools are favoured for their power and ease of use in tighter spaces or for target work.

We also understand that the next generation of stockmen needs the right start, which is why we offer specialised children's redhide whips with youth-sized handles. These are crafted with the same attention to detail as our adult ranges, providing a balanced learning tool that helps juniors develop their technique safely and effectively.

Maintenance and Essential Spare Parts

Choosing to invest in professional whips means selecting a tool that can last a lifetime with the correct care. We provide essential ‘spare parts’ packs, including replacement falls and crackers, to make sure your whip never loses its signature sound.

Plus, because leather is a natural material, keeping it supple is vital to prevent cracking and fraying in the harsh Australian sun. By combining the expertise of master plaiters with the highest-grade hides, our collection offers the resilience and performance needed to handle livestock with confidence and skill.
