Bullzye is an Australian western wear brand built for work, rodeo and weekends. The range covers bold-print cotton tees, long-sleeve fishing shirts with collars for sun protection, bootcut and wide-leg denim, hoodies, shorts and the seam-sealed Bazooka waterproof jacket - in men's, women's, boys' and girls' sizing.
Seam Sealed, Not Just Water Resistant
The Bazooka jacket is the piece that shows what Bullzye can do when it stops printing and starts building. It is seam sealed and stated as fully waterproof, which is a step past the water-resistant claim most outerwear at this end settles for, because it means the needle holes along every seam have been taped over rather than left open.
The rest of it is sensibly done too: a nylon taslon shell, a detachable hood, welt pockets lined with polar fleece so your hands go somewhere warm, an adjustable sleeve tab and toggles at the hem to shut the weather out at the bottom.
Bullzye Tees and Fishing Shirts
Short-sleeve tees are 100 per cent cotton jersey at 180gsm, with a large front print, a small print at the back neck, a ribbed neck band and a logo label at the hem. They run through black, navy, white, military, grey marle, sand, rust, moss and a long list of pinks and blues on the women's side.
The long-sleeve fishing tees are the other big line, at around two dozen designs repeated across men's, women's, boys' and girls'. These are polyester rather than cotton, with an all-over print and a collar, which is what people want on the water when the sun is up, and a T-shirt neckline is not enough.
Jackets, Vests, Shorts and Denim
Beyond the Bazooka, there is a faux oilskin jacket and matching vest, a heavyweight 65/35 cotton-polyester shell with fleece-lined welt pockets and a dipped back hem, plus further jacket and vest pairs so you can buy the layer without the sleeves.
Sports shorts carry the same print artwork as the tees, and there are board shorts, denim shorts and ruggers alongside them. The denim itself is thin here, at only a handful of women's bootcut and wide-leg styles, so anyone after a Bullzye jean has a short list to work from. Muscle tanks, rib tanks and crop styles fill in the warm-weather end, along with hoodies and a jumper or two for when it turns.
