What can I wear with my Rancher Hat?
Casual ranch or everyday use
Throw it on with some bootcut jeans or faded denim and a relaxed check or chambray shirt. Add a leather belt and dusty boots to complete that no-fuss outback look.
Country concert or ute muster
Pair the hat with a country skirt (or shorts), a graphic tee or western-style top, and a light jacket or vest if it cools down. The hat adds that western edge that works great for long days on the red dirt or under the stars.
Smart-casual or night out
Use the hat to bring a bit of western character to chinos or dark jeans and a plain button-up. Add boots or leather shoes and a belt for a subtle rugged touch - handy if you want western style without going full cowboy.
FAQs
How should the hat fit?
To establish your size as per your head measurement, measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2") above your ears. Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, and keep it across your temple and above your eyebrow ridges. For in-between measurements, select the next size up. For example, if your head measurement is 58.2cm, you would choose a size 59 hat. You want a close fit, but not so firm that the band leaves a mark on your forehead when you have worn your hat for a period of time. If you're trying your hat on instore, and you have a choice of a size that is a bit too firm, but the next size is a bit too loose, we recommend selecting the larger size.
How do I clean and care for the hat?
Use a soft-bristle brush for to remove dust or dried dirt or a damp cloth (not wet) for moving more stubborn marks. Always store the hat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Can I wear it in hot or wet weather?
It’s fine for heat and sun - that’s the whole point of a western hat - but avoid wearing it in heavy rain or getting it soaked. If you do get your Rancher Hat wet, allow it to dry naturally and store it on a hat hook or upside down on it's crown when you're not wearing it.
