FAQs
Will it keep me cool in summer?
Yes. The hat is made of breathable cotton and uses a light weathered finish rather than heavy fabric - so it as cool as!
Does the brim give enough sun protection?
With a 7.5 cm brim, you get good coverage for face and neck. It’s a solid choice if you’re outdoors in bright sun.
How do I pick the right size?
To establish your size as per your head measurement, measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2") above your ears. Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, and keep it across your temple and above your eyebrow ridges. You want a close fit, but not so firm that the band leaves a mark on your forehead when you have worn your hat for a period of time. If you're trying your hat on instore, and you have a choice of a size that is a bit too firm, but the next size is a bit too loose, we recommend selecting the larger size. The Oregon comes in sizes S (55-56cm), M (57cm), L (58-59cm) and XL (60-61cm).
Can I use this hat for work or daily wear?
Yes. Its sturdy cotton build and sweatband make it practical for farm work, gardening, or any outdoor chores - and it looks casual enough for everyday wear.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Spot clean with a damp cloth if it gets dirty. Don’t soak it. Store it on a hat stand or shelf to keep its shape. If it gets saturated, let it air-dry naturally, so that the original shape is maintained.
