What can I wear with my Easton Rush Straw Hat?
Farm work or a day on the property
Team it with work pants, a lightweight cotton shirt and your favourite work boots. The Easton keeps the sun off without weighing you down. Great for fencing, feed runs or yard work.
Country concert or ute muster
Go for denim shorts or bootcut jeans and a western or graphic shirt. Don't forget your western boots!
Markets, casual weekends or coastal trips
Match it with a relaxed button-up and shorts. Add a simple belt and comfy walking boots or slip-ons.
Warmer-weather workwear
Pair the hat with breathable work shirts like these vented styles. The wide brim gives solid shade while keeping airflow up when you're out in the sun for long stretches.
FAQs
How do I know what size to get in the Easton Hat?
To establish your size as per your head measurement, measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2") above your ears. Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, and keep it across your temple and above your eyebrow ridges. For in-between measurements, select the next size up. You want a close fit, but not so firm that the band leaves a mark on your forehead when you have worn your hat for a period of time. If you're trying your hat on instore, and you have a choice of a size that is a bit too firm, but the next size is a bit too loose, we recommend selecting the larger size. The Easton Rush Straw Hat comes in sizes M (57cm), L (58-59cm) and XL (60-61cm).
Is it good for really hot days?
Yep. Rush straw is naturally breathable and lightweight, so it doesn’t trap heat. Ideal for Aussie summers.
What’s the best way to care for a straw hat?
Brush off dust, avoid crushing it, store it somewhere cool and dry - preferrably on a hat hook or upside down on it's crown to preserve the shape. If it gets damp, let it dry naturally - don't use heat or direct sun.
Is it water-resistant?
No. Straw hats don’t love water. Light splashes won’t hurt, but extended moisture can warp the shape. Keep it dry when you can.
