I bought the hat for work. It is cool to wear in direct sunlight and the canvas is not affected by the harsh chemicals I work with. It also handles the wet weather reasonably well compared to pelt and leather hats. It is also far cooler to wear. The last one I had lasted 3 years so here's hoping.

This is my husbands second Barmah Drover Hat. He has worn it daily for years and this purchase is to replace it. The quality is amazing as mentioned it is a daily part of his wardrobe.
